Hazrat Ismail(a.s.) 



Hazrat Ismail (peace be upon him), in Islam, is one of the divine prophets and leaders mentioned in the Holy Quran. Ismail (pbuh) was the son of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and Hazrat Hagar (peace be upon him). In several places, the Qur'an refers to the supplications of Abraham (a.s.) and Hagar (s.a.) for the birth of a child from God, and Hazrat Ismail (a.s.) was granted this supplication.


Ishmael (AS) has appeared as a divine leader and a symbol of obedience and submission to God's command in the history of Islam. Hadiths and Islamic traditions also refer to the blessing and position of this leader from the generation of Abraham (PBUH).


The Holy Quran refers to Hazrat Ismail (AS) in a few places, for example, it is mentioned in Surah Safat (Surah 37), Verse 101:

"وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُۥٓ إِسْحَٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ نَافِلَةًۭ ۚ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا صَالِحِينَ ١٠١"

"And We gave him Isaac and Jacob Nafilah ۚ And We made them all righteous 101"

 Which translates to:

"And We gave him Isaac and Jacob, and declared each of them righteous."
